Dutch Bros Coffee Officially Opens First Chicagoland Location in Melrose Park

MELROSE PARK, IL —Chicago coffee fans officially have a new drive-thru destination to check out starting today.

Dutch Bros Coffee has officially opened its first Chicagoland location in Melrose Park, bringing the viral coffee chain’s customizable drinks, energy beverages, and fast-paced drive-thru experience to the Chicago suburbs for the very first time.

Located at 1931 N. Mannheim Road, the new cafe officially opened its doors on Thursday, May 14, marking a major milestone for the rapidly expanding brand as it continues pushing deeper into Midwest markets.

For years, Dutch Bros has developed a loyal national following thanks to its energetic customer service, highly customizable menu, and social media buzz surrounding drinks like its flavored cold brews and Rebel energy beverages. Until now, Chicagoland customers had to travel outside the region to try the brand for themselves.

“We’ve already felt so much love from this community, and we’re so grateful to be here. Our crew is stoked to bring the energy and start serving our customizable drinks in Melrose Park!”

The Melrose Park opening represents the company’s first official entry into the Chicagoland market, though Dutch Bros already operates locations elsewhere in Illinois, including Urbana, Fairview Heights, Mt. Vernon, and Edwardsville.

The company also confirmed additional Illinois locations are expected to open later this summer in Rockford, New Lenox, and Buffalo Grove.

The new Melrose Park cafe will operate from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Customers can expect a menu filled with espresso drinks, blended beverages, teas, lemonades, cold brews, and the company’s popular Rebel energy drink line, all with extensive flavor and customization options.

Unlike traditional coffee shops that focus heavily on indoor seating, Dutch Bros has built its brand around convenience, speed, and high-energy drive-thru service, a model that has helped fuel the company’s explosive national growth over the past several years.

To celebrate the grand opening, customers purchasing a drink today can also receive a free Dutch Bros keychain while supplies last.

Dutch Bros Continues Rapid Midwest Expansion

Founded in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992, Dutch Bros has quickly grown into one of the country’s most recognizable drive-thru beverage chains.

Its arrival in the Chicago suburbs comes as suburban dining and beverage markets continue attracting major national brands looking to capitalize on commuter traffic and convenience-focused consumers.

With additional Chicagoland-area locations already planned, today’s Melrose Park opening may only be the beginning of Dutch Bros’ local expansion.
