WEST LOOP— A new upscale sports bar is expected to bring a different kind of game-day experience to the West Loop later this summer.

Victory & Vice, a new concept from Machine Hospitality Group, is targeting a late August 2026 opening at 318 N. Carpenter St. The venue will combine large-scale sports viewing with elevated cocktails, tavern-style pizza, personalized game requests, and a patio built for warm-weather gatherings.

For a neighborhood already known for restaurants, nightlife, offices, luxury apartments, and walkable city living, Victory & Vice is another example of how the West Loop continues to add lifestyle-driven destinations beyond the traditional dinner-and-drinks experience.

Victory & Vice is planning to feature more than 30 screens, including a large 17-by-10-foot viewing wall, an expansive island bar, custom booths, and a patio measuring more than 1,000 square feet with additional viewing screens.

The biggest difference may be the ability for groups to request the game they want to watch.

The bar plans to dedicate most of its televisions to major games and scheduled events, while reserving a portion of screens for fan-requested matches. That could include everything from Champions League, Formula 1, and UFC to rugby, cricket, title fights, rivalry games, and major international sporting events.

For groups of at least 10 people, guests are expected to be able to reserve a section and choose a specific game or event. Deposits would go toward food and beverage purchases, making the concept especially appealing for friend groups, team outings, birthday celebrations, and corporate gatherings.

Personal Audio Could Change the Viewing Experience

Victory & Vice is also planning a technology feature that lets customers connect personal earbuds to individual televisions.

That means guests could watch one game while listening clearly to its play-by-play, even if another event is playing on the main screen or nearby TVs. For serious fans, that adds a more personalized layer to the traditional sports bar setup.

It is a simple idea, but one that could make a difference in a busy room where multiple games, conversations, music, and crowds are all happening at once.

Cocktails, Tableside Martinis, and Chicago Tavern-Style Pizza

Machine Hospitality is known for cocktail-focused concepts, and Victory & Vice plans to bring that same energy to its drink menu. Confirmed cocktails include a Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Old Fashioned, a Spicy Watermelon Margarita, and a pink martini-style drink called Pretty In Pink.

Two of the bar’s martini offerings are expected to include interactive tableside service.

An espresso martini service will feature a shaker and customizable add-ins such as coffee, chocolate, peanut butter spread, and coffee beans. A separate dirty martini service will allow guests to choose from stuffed olives, citrus rinds, and other garnishes before drinks are poured tableside.

The food menu is still being finalized, but plans include approximately 15 items, including Chicago tavern-style pizza, pizza puffs, and casual bar food. A future takeout window could eventually offer slices and pizza puffs for nearby residents, workers, and late-night crowds.

A New Weekend and Game-Day Destination

Victory & Vice is expected to open at 10 a.m. on Saturdays for party-style brunch programming and at the same time on Sundays for all-day football-focused events.

Weekday hours are expected to begin at 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with earlier openings possible for major games and special events.

The team also has plans to make the Carroll Street patio more than overflow seating. Future concepts could include tailgate-style parties, outdoor activations, and occasional block events, subject to city approval.

The Takeaway

Victory & Vice is expected to add a new kind of sports bar experience to the West Loop, combining big-game energy with customizable viewing, cocktails, pizza, patio space, and group-friendly programming.

With a planned late-summer opening, it is another new destination to watch as the West Loop continues to grow as one of Chicago’s most active places to live, work, dine, and spend a weekend.
